Thanksgiving Day Preparations

It snuck up on us, it’s here and it will be gone before we know it! It’s the season of giving thanks, giving gifts and food. This is a hectic time but a great time and we should ALL get to enjoy it. If you’re cooking and hosting this year, we have come up with a little Thanksgiving dinner preparation for you to help everything go a little more smooth so that you can enjoy the day with your loved ones.

Decide what side dishes and desserts you’re going to have. Know how many people are coming so you can plan for how much food to make and get as well as how big of a turkey you’re going to need. Clear out your fridge, you will need the extra space.

Make two shopping lists: one for items that are non-perishable and one for the day before items that need to be fresh.

Treat yourself to some new cooking utensils and baking accessories because why not!? Cooking is more fun with new tools, am I right!?

You will need a cute, new and stylish apron that you won’t be embarrassed to host in.

Grab yourself a new set of mixing bowls for all of that baking and mixing you’ll be doing.

Try out some new measuring cups and spoons as well as some cute new bamboo utensils that are cute enough to use as serve ware for your Thanksgiving Day tablescape.

Make sure to get your turkey out at least 3-4 days before Thanksgiving to make sure it has enough time to defrost.

The day before Thanksgiving try to make your pies and desserts, just get those done and out of the way. Make sure your turkey is completely thawed and ready to be put in the oven in the morning for the big day! If you need some recipe inspo, we found some of our tried and true, go-to’s!
